ABOUT THE COURSE
The introduction to regulation 31 /33 (Products for Drinking Water ) course provides awareness of the requirements surrounding chemicals, materials, components and products that come into contact with drinking water.
The course explains the subject in plain, easy-to-understand language, helping learners understand why products used in the production and distribution of drinking water need to be suitable for their intended use and how poor product selection, storage or use could affect drinking-water quality and public health.
The course focuses on Regulation 31 and Regulation 33 (Legal consequences ) and explains how these requirements apply in everyday water-industry activities.

REAL-WORLD CASE STUDIES
The course examines real drinking-water enforcement and prosecution cases to demonstrate what can happen when product controls fail.
Examples include unapproved coatings, failure to follow Instructions for Use, treatment chemical controls, product substitutions, product/formulation changes, incorrect use of otherwise approved products, and supply-chain or contractor failures.
