This 1/2 day course is aimed at persons who may undertake Moving and Handling (manual handling) operations in the work place. This course aims to provide workers with an understanding of correct manual handling techniques and how manual handing can cause injury.

• Carry out an assessment of the risk associated with manual handling
• Consider alternative methods to a avoid manual handling
• Use correct lifting techniques when manual handling is necessary
