This course is ideal for:
- Appointed Fire Wardens and Fire Marshals
- Supervisors and team leaders responsible for workplace fire safety
- Staff managing fire drills and emergency response plans
- Anyone who requires a Level 2 fire safety qualification
Syllabus:
- The causes and effects of workplace fires
- Current fire safety legislation and employer responsibilities
- How to conduct fire risk assessments
- The duties and responsibilities of a Fire Warden
- Procedures for evacuation and accounting for personnel
- How to raise alarms and use fire-fighting equipment correctly
- Practical extinguisher training (foam, CO₂, water)
- Common fire hazards and control measures
- Assessment & Certification
Continuous practical assessment is carried out by the instructor throughout the day. At the end of the course, participants will complete a multiple-choice assessment.
Upon successful completion, candidates will receive a Fire Safety Level 2 certificate valid for three years.
Additional certification for Fire Warden / Marshal will be provided.
