This course will raise the awareness of individuals to the potential dangers of harmful dusts including asbestos exposure

Aims

By the end of the course delegates should be able to:

• Discuss the origins of harmful dusts (mineral and others) and where they can be found
• Other harmful dusts including hard wood and silica
• Outline the health hazards caused by harmful dusts and routes of entry into the body
• Identify the locations/products where harmful dust generated materials are likely to be found
• Outline the basic occupiers duties in relation to inadvertent exposure to harmful dusts
